Hospital Cleaner
Job Description
- Clean and disinfect patient beds after transfer or discharge, following hospital infection control standards.
- Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of patient areas, including:
- Furniture, room fixtures, and fittings
- Under-bed areas
- High-touch surfaces
- Toilets and washrooms
- Floors through dusting and mopping
- Waste disposal
- Operate and maintain hospital cleaning equipment, machines, and tools for daily, periodic, and project-based cleaning tasks.
- Carry out regular checks on cleaning equipment to ensure proper function and report any faults to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Monitor and manage cleaning supply inventory, including disinfectants, sanitizing agents, and other required materials.
- Ensure all cleaning duties comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control procedures.
- Follow proper practices for isolation PPE, hand hygiene, and other infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory usage.
- Support any other ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.
