Job Description: EHS Specialist (Penang)

Position: EHS Specialist 
Location: Penang, Malaysia
Experience: 5-8 years

Roles and Responsibilities

Implement and maintain the site EHS management system and programs
Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and internal audits
Investigate incidents and near misses, and track corrective actions
Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and other applicable regulations
Plan and deliver safety training, toolbox talks and emergency drills
Manage permits to work, contractor safety and PPE requirements
Report EHS performance and KPIs to management
Liaise with DOSH and other authorities when required

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or a related field
5-8 years of relevant EHS experience (logistics, manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred)
Valid Safety and Health Officer (SHO) certification registered with DOSH (JKKP)
Sound knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001
Strong communication, reporting and training skills
Able to work on-site in Penang
