Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a contractor
- Good knowledge of quantity surveying, tendering and procurement processes
Job Responsibilities
- Source and obtain quotations from sub-contractors and vendors during tendering
- Carry out quantity take-off and measurement for tendering and contracts
- Evaluate quotations and prepare costing summaries for approval
- Prepare sub-contract documents, incorporating contractual and technical requirements
- Prepare procurement and sub-contract schedules
- Assist Contract Manager / Deputy Contract Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager in negotiation and awarding of sub-contracts
- Ensure submission of bonds and warranties from sub-contractors
- Prepare payment claims and supporting documents for VO valuation
- Prepare monthly payment certificates and verify invoices against delivery orders
- Prepare and maintain records for Architect’s Instructions and Variation Orders
- Update and maintain material price lists
- Prepare project cost summaries and project cost lists
- Carry out pre- and post-contract quantity take-offs
- Handle procurement activities for assigned projects
