The Junior PLC/Controller Technician assists with the installation, programming, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLCs, industrial control systems, and automation equipment related to HVAC, energy systems, and building services.
Key Responsibilities
1. PLC Installation & Commissioning Assist with installing, wiring, and configuring PLCs, controllers, sensors, and control panels. Support system testing, commissioning, and integration with HVAC and BMS.
2. Operation & Maintenance Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot control wiring, sensors, and communication faults. Assist in maintaining HVAC equipment, including AHUs, chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.
3. Programming & Technical Support Assist with PLC programming, controller configuration, and control logic adjustments under supervision. Support fault diagnosis, corrective actions, and system upgrades.
4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain maintenance records, prepare service and commissioning reports, and update technical documentation.
5. Qualifications Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome. Basic PLC knowledge is an advantage.
6. Required Skills Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, control circuits, and automation systems. Ability to read electrical drawings, troubleshoot faults, solve problems, and work well with the technical team.
