**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Collections Officer to join our team and manage the recovery of outstanding debts whilst maintaining positive customer relationships. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate payment arrangements professionally and ethically.
**Job Description**
• Contact customers via telephone, email, and written correspondence to recover overdue payments and negotiate suitable payment arrangements
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, payment commitments, and customer interactions in the database system
• Analyse accounts to identify potential risks and escalate complex cases to senior management when necessary
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and ensure customer satisfaction whilst achieving collection targets
**Job Requirements**
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in collections, credit control, or customer service roles
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office and collection management software, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
**Working Arrangements**
• Full-time position with flexible scheduling that respects religious obligations and cultural practices
• Monday to Friday working hours with occasional extended hours during peak collection periods
