Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice is now at Takshimaya Shopping Centre.
We are seeking experienced individuals to join our food and beverage team as a Chicken Rice Cook.
Salary varies depending on working experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook chicken rice dishes to consistent standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene
- Ensure mise en place is completed before service and restocked as needed throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards at your workstations
- Monitor and maintain the freshness and proper storage of raw ingredients
- Assist with daily food preparation, including boiling chicken, preparing rice, soup, sauces, and side dishes
- Work closely with the Head Chef/Assistant Chef to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations
- Communicate any issues related to stock, equipment, or workflow to the Assistant Chef
- Adhere to portion control and waste minimization practices to help manage food cost
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards
Job Requirements for all positions:
- Possess valid food hygiene certificate
- Relevant working experience
- Good attitude, proactive and reliable, team spirit
- Able to work 6 days a week, 10 hours a day, on weekends and public holidays
- Able to work in an environment that serves non-halal food
- Able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
