Food Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Learn cooking techniques and assist with the cooking and assembly of dishes.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and taste of dishes.
- Help with the creation of garnishes and presentation of plated dishes.
Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the chef of any shortages.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, stoves, and food processors under supervision.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate food preparation and service.
- Assist in maintaining a positive and respectful kitchen culture.
Special Events and Banquets: - Support the Chef in preparing food for banquets, events, and catering functions.
- Help with event-specific menu planning and execution.
